Give Thanks

From The Message:
2 Corinthians 4: 15 and following
So, we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more than meets the eye.  The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow.  But the things we can't see now will last forever.

I am so thankful for God's grace and healing.  One year ago, I was in agony.  The pain I felt in my body was intense. Now, it's a fleeting memory.  God's plan is so good. His timing is right.

One of the things I am most thankful for is my Williamston Primary School Family.  They showed so much love and faith in the months that I was sick.  They prayed! They prayed collectively and individually.  Fervent prayers for life and healing.  They visited me in the hospital, called and sent texts, provided for me financially, donated sick days, sent cards, and they encouraged me in so many ways.

Recently, one of our custodians, Corey Baker, saw me sitting alone in my classroom. He came in and pulled up a chair and shared with me.  He spoke of his belief that God was going to see me though. He told me that on the day that East Care took me to Vidant, God moved through our school.  My precious coworkers gathered together, held hands, and lifted prayers to God. Within 30 minutes of that prayer, the helicopter lifted and I was off to Greenville.  Many of my coworkers stood outside in the parking lot and watched and prayed as the helicopter took off. Some of my coworkers were at the hospital with me.  Corey said there were so many tears shed that day. I have the best friends at work.  They continue to pray, bless, and encourage me daily.  I am so thankful that God gave me you!

I received cards from every child at WPS.  I read every one of them.  I will treasure them.

Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His love endures forever.
