We never know how our day will end.

Rewind one year from today. The Monday before Thanksgiving.  I worked that day.  I had 4 children out with the stomach bug.  I wasn't feeling well myself.  I left work, picked Megan up from school, and went home.  That's when it hit me. The vomiting and diarrhea were awful.  I knew I had the stomach bug.  I went to bed.  The vomiting continued on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Thanksgiving), and Friday.

On Thanksgiving day, I was hurting so bad. It honestly felt like labor pains.  My family was at Mama's having lunch.  I was still in bed.  The vomiting subsided on Saturday but I still could not eat.  I decided that I would go to the doctor on Monday.  I suffered through Sunday.

On the Monday after Thanksgiving I was at the doctors office bright and early.  They drew blood and she told me that I was very dehydrated.  I had 2 choices: home with lots of water or ER for an IV. I decided to go back home.  Before I could get out of town, I turned my jeep towards the ER.  I went in and they gave me pain meds, drew my blood again, and sent me home with meds for a bladder infection.  I left my jeep at the hospital and rode home with mama.  Dr. Pogadina called me at home on Monday night and told me to come back in the morning because my white count was 16.

On Tuesday, I decided to ride to town with mama that morning to pick up my jeep.  We dropped Megan off at school and on the way to town, Mama hit a pothole.  The pain I felt was excruciating. Mama called the ER and told them we were on the way.  They were ready for me when I got there.  The rest of my memories for a very long time are spotty at best.  I do remember my friends and family visiting me. I remember feeling like I was going to die.  I remember telling my mama that I was dying. And, I remember telling the people I love how I felt about them.  It was the beginning of a long journey.  I am so very glad to say that I am here. But by the grace of God go I!

This morning I heard of the the tragic accident in Robersonville.  I got a first hand account from a gentleman that was there and trying to help.  I pray that those who were trying to free the lady in the car will have some peace in the coming days.  We never know how our day will end. Tell people you love them!
