Declare your dreams!

What would you do if you could do it for the rest of your life?
That's your passion!

There are several things that I am working towards that may surprise some.  I'm planning to go back to school to get my PhD in Educational Research in the Fall of 2018. Learning and children are my passion.

Now is the time to set yourself up for the next 10 years. Make a declaration! If you want it, go all out.  Expect things to get better because life is cyclic. Whatever your situation, it will pass. There is always a way out. Make a declaration that you are unstoppable. Sometimes I doubt wether or not I'm too old to go back to school.  I worry about how I will pay for college. I know that God will make a way for my dreams to come true.  I just have to make the effort. I must have a strategy to change the story I believe about myself. I will always strive to have a positive mental mindset and push away the fear of failure. You don't have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great. Some people wish to do better, others expect to do better.

If something is hard, why do we still choose to do it? We make the choice because it's important to us.  It's worth it.  Never give up. People with a dream walk with a different kind of spirit. You must be willing to fail and willing to succeed.

I am currently in the process of getting my foster care license.  This is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do.  As a single parent, I did not believe that I would be a good candidate for being a foster parent.  I could not have been further from the truth.  I realize now that some children are more comfortable in single parent homes.  I have lots of love to give. I regret not starting this process sooner.  When nothing is sure, everything is possible.  I have learned that I should always ask questions because life will pass me by if I don't.  I have had the background check for fostering and my interview.  Now, I have to wait for the training to be scheduled and have my home inspection.  I'm so excited!

I have some very big dreams.  To do something that you have never done, you must go where you have never gone.  Life has forced me to have courage.  I am declaring my goals and dreams and I will see them through.  The two most important days in your life are: the day you were born and the day you know WHY you were born.  I was born to learn and to love, to share, and to dream. This year I will challenge my fears and take chances.  Behind my fears is the person I want to be. In the end, it will be ok. If it's not ok, it's not the end. God's plan will always be greater than your disappointments. It takes courage to act. It takes determination and drive to start over again.  If you always win, you don't appreciate the win.  I am willing to fail because I know that I have grit. I will rise.

Galations 6:9 And let us not grow weary if doing good. For in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
